On the 17th April ’09 Minty and I took the first of this summer’s drives going west along the Jurassic Coastline. Following a beach walk we returned via the coastal road overlooking Chesil Beach and Portland. A chain of unfortunate events then conspired which led to an oncoming vehicle steering to avoid hitting pheasants on a blind bend, causing Minty’s irreparable damage
Having been recovered and taken to Bodytechnics in Slough for evaluation their diagnosis was that repair would be financially un-economic and, as such, she has been classed a ‘total loss’. Having come to terms with this devastating news; one which has been like dealing with the death of close family member, I can only say..it has been a privilege to have had chance to own this car since Sept ’08 and realise a 16 year dream. I am only sad that I and others have now been deprived of the chance to see her at PCGB events and in magazine articles in the future.
